What We Plan - Programmes for 2009-10
  • To organise the operationalisation of e-trading in the cut flowers, orchids.
  • Conduct orientation, training programmes for the farmers stakeholders in linking the farmers to the better marketing practices, value addition and better realisation.
  • Conduct orientation of the needy people in certification for various agricultural produce e.g. Globalgap, Good Marketing Practices, Organic Certification, HACCP etc.
  • Conduct action oriented research for keeping the national authorities ready to invoke anti dumping measures in case of need. CITA plans to begin with milk and milk products. Also depending on the support, other sectors like poultry, raisins etc. would be taken up for such studies.
  • Geographical indications for Mahabaleshwar Strawberries and Deogad or Konkan Alphonso Mangoes has been identified for which project shall be initiated for registration.
  • Programmes of International Organisations and Aid Agencies shall be implemented.
