Protection to Domestic Agriculture and Agro.
Industries from imports: tariff options.
Non-tariff options for domestic Agriculture and Agro-Industries.
Options for government support within WTO framework.
Sensitizing domestic Industry about new technological options and emerging business practices in agri-sector.
Providing Inputs to government for domestic policy.
Providing Inputs to government for multi-lateral negotiations and bilateral negotiations.

B. Acquire Global Competitiveness

Regular monitoring of issues related to how to make Indian Agriculture and Agro-Industries globally competitive. This will include:

Marketing Intelligence for selected sectors.
Monitoring Policy changes in other countries for domestic Industries.
Monitoring Policy changes in other countries for export promotion.
Changes in technical and mandatory product specifications.
Emerging technological changes.
New developments in bilateral and multilateral agreements.

C. Utilizing Power of Partnership through networking

Networking and forging alliance with like-minded organizations within India and outside India. They are Government Organizations, Research Organizations, NGOs, Voluntary groups, Chambers of Commerce, various Stake holders and their organizations or any other organization who can extend support to us to protect the interests of India
