The Indian Agribusiness sector has opened up vast opportunities for value addition, packaging, retailing, and exports of agricultural products with high-end technology application and management. Supported by a favourable policy environment and the demand-push impact of a young consumer class with a growing disposable income, India offers significant investment opportunities in the food and agribusiness sector.

In the past few years trend, Indian Agri-tech startup’s covering IT & Analytics, IoT, and e-commerce sectors managed well to raise funds from global investors. The Indian Agri-tech sector is moving on a sustained growth trajectory. The introduction of digital technology will pave the way for new patterns in the agriculture sector. These Agri-tech startups are catering farmers with affordable, effective and eco-friendly services in the field of farm data analytics, supply chain, and last mile information platforms.

Indigram Labs Foundation (ILF) - Technology & Business Incubator (TBI) has been set up in assistance with National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India & Indian Society of Agribusiness Professionals (ISAP).

Our incubation efforts are focused in the areas of:

1. Agriculture and AgriTech
2. Food Processing
3. Clean Energy and Automation
4. Rural Focused Health and Wellness.

At ILF, currently, we are working with a pool of 22+ incubatees in the set-out area(s) of incubation efforts in the last 2 year of presence.

Located in New Delhi, ILF strives to provide the transcendent services to the startups. We are offering an array of services like co-working spaces, R&D support through institutional collaborations, Mentoring by a network of senior corporate members, seasoned agri-preneurs, investors and venture capitalists in order to provide market connects and financial support to the incubated companies etc.

We also partnered with global Incubators like UC Berkley, Skydeck; TechTown Detroit; Schezwan Open Innovation Lab, China; CURAD, Uganda; Global Israeli Initiative, Israel etc. to help Startups who aspire to enter the global market.

Our Host Institution - ISAP (Indian Society of Agribusiness Professionals) - http://www.isapindia.org/. ISAP has done remarkable work over the last 17 years in the field of Agriculture and has a network of around 5,00,000 farming families across India and has created 233 Farmer Producer Organizations each being owned by around a 1000 farmers each.

ISAP also has a huge social media network and reach because of the Indian Agriculture Professionals group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/agribiz4u ) which has more than 245,000 members. Besides the above group ISAP has various other groups, pages and a monthly newsletter giving it a footprint of over half a million individuals connected with the Agri-food sector in India.

With a mission to enable entrepreneurs to sustainably revolutionize agri-food systems, we are looking at international partners with a shared vision and synergistic approaches. We would be keen to explore if we could work with your lab in areas of mutual interest in incubation, investment(s), exchange programmes, helping your start ups with India PoCs and helping bring positive change in the sector.
