About Us
It is proposed to set up specialties to deal with contemporary issues and problems in south Asia and South East Asia. These studies would be oriented to practical applications, and would be in the nature of applied research.
The centre is staffed with two senior research fellows (PhDs with over 20 years experience) and four young researchers, with the technical manpower going up to thirty over a period of time. The Centre is a non- profit organization, functioning as a trust, and 80G exemption under the Indian Income Tax Act is available for contributions.
The Center's website at asianstudies.org is to disseminate information to an audience much wider than that of the specialist and contribute to achieving the centers goals.
The Centre is being headed by Dr. S. Narayan, former economic advisor to the Prime Minister of India and former Finance Secretary.
